Casa De Amparo Childrens Abuse Shelter
This is a large residential/commercial
development situated north of Deer Springs
Rd. Between No. Twin Oaks Valley Rd. and
Hwy. 15. Their plans call for over 2700 homes
and present severe fire danger and significant
traffic impact to the Twin Oaks Valley
This is a proposed development for a shelter
for children who have been abused.
A once small quarry has turned into a large
production facility adding significant noise and
truck traffic to the Twin Oaks Valley area.
The Walnut Grove Equestrian Park is in great
need of improvements to this aging facility.
The City of San Marcos is also potentially
moving the facility in the next few years.
TOVEA has been very proactive in raising
funds for this important community facility.
San Marcos City Equestrian Trails
We are fortunate to live in, and around, the
City of San Marcos where the development of
multi-use trails includes equestrian use. Over
30 miles of trails have been developed with
more on the way. Learn what TOVEA is doing
to help expand this incredible equestrian
resource in our valley and all of San Marcos.
Twin Oaks Valley Community
Trails & Pathways Plan
The Community Trails Master Plan will be
utilized to develop a system of interconnected
regional and community trails and pathways.
These trails and pathways are intended to
address an established public need for
recreation and transportation, but will also
provide health and quality of life benefits
associated with hiking, biking, and horseback
riding throughout the County’s biologically
diverse environments.
